The good, the sometimes bad, and the occasional ugly truth of all that is happening in and around me while serving in Jinja Uganda as a missionary with Calvary Chapel.

One month and counting
Well, it is 2 in the morning on the 27th of July and it is officially one month until I head out for Africa. Tonight at Vertical, Jason announced that the 16th will be my send off service in Vertical and I cannot believe it is here. Again, as I have said time and time again, I know this is where God is calling me; but this truly has caused me to have a difficult time realizing that I am leaving EVERYONE I know and love. I went to Montana this past week and while I was there I got to hang out with the whole crew there who I had grown up spiritually with over the past seven years. It was surreal getting to say goodbye to them and it finally hit me when I said goodbye to my friends Tori and Johnny at the airport and that's where I broke down. Anyways, I continue to ask for your prayers for financial support as well as the sustained relationships I have with people even while I'm in Africa.

New Updates!!!
Ok so I promise to be more diligent at posting things on my blog once I'm in Africa. Since I last posted in May there have been a couple of new developments:
- Jess and Bev Rich are in the states and so I've been able to spend time with them and it's been a really neat opportunity to get to know them better and it's definitely been a shot in the arm with getting me excited about going down there.
- I've had my last day of work at Calvary of Albuquerque, therefore I am now working on Africa stuff full time (mainly fundraising). I know that God is faithful to provide, it's just a question of waiting on Him to provide for me.
- I will head to Montana for five days this Saturday to spend time with old friends one last time before I head out, I can't wait to see everyone!
- And last but not least I got my ticket!!! So it's official I'm heading out on August 27th.
Well, that's just a quick re-cap but I hope I get to meet with everyone at some point before I go.
